Dear Class,

I will be on MC for two days. Therefore, I won't be able to meet you.

I hope you will still continue your revision for English paper 2, this Thursday.
Please read through your English textbook thoroughly as this will help you on the grammar and vocabulary section.
In addition, please learn all the words from all your spelling lists so as to assist you in your close passage.

If there is any question, you can email me at our class email address. I will do my best to answer.

复习写作文的学习点

同学们,这里再次提醒你们写作文的要点。希望你们能仔细读一读。

1)开头
  • 人物开头
小丽是一个不听劝告的小孩,常常把妈妈的话当成耳边风。因为一次的惨痛经验,她终于改过自新了......
  • 回忆开头
看着那只破旧的玩具熊,我不禁想起半年前发生在我和小明之间的一件事,想着想着,心里觉得又难过又后悔......
  • 天气开头
“隆......隆......”天边传来打雷的声音,天空中不但乌云密布的,而且还不时划出闪电。不一会儿,豆大的雨点“哗啦哗啦”地落下来,路上的行人纷纷撑起雨伞来。
  • 对话开头
“小云!你忘了你的雨伞!”妈妈着急的声音从家门传了出来,可是小云已经快步地踏进电梯里,按下关门的按钮了。

2)内容
  • 紧跟着图片写故事
  • 故事要有顺序sequence
  • 尽量用完辅助词语use up all the helping words
  • 写人物的心情feelings(高兴、伤心流泪、生气、惭愧、害怕、担心着急)
  • 写人物的动作actions(怎样跑、怎样做事)
  • 写人物之间的对话conversations
看着妈妈手握着藤条,气呼呼的样子,小明吓得马上一个箭步向房间冲去大声喊道:“对不起妈妈!我以后不敢了!别打我!

3)结尾
  • 人物的感想point of view
小明要不是我贪吃,我就不会跌到受伤,还被爸爸妈妈责备了。
  • 人物这件事情得到的教训/道理lessons learnt
从此以后,小明决定痛改前非,再也不敢偷吃东西、让爸爸妈妈失望了。

iRead Programme

In case you do not know, your last Dec and June holidays iRead forms are being processed, you will be given grades (3/2/1 Stamp chop) on your orange iRead Achievement Cards for the submitted forms, depending on how much effort you spent doing them.

You will be given awards (Gold/Silver/Bronze) based on:
  1. the number of stamp chops you accumulate for both English and Chinese iRead Activities
  2. the number of books you have read over the past months
There are still some assignments yet to be completed, so it is not too late to start earning your awards. Please consult Mr Ashraf / 蔡老师 for more information on the remaining activities.
